The Marine Shop stock a wide variety of pre-loved boats, while the number in stock constantly varies, we try our best of offer all our customers the best quality used boats money can buy, below are just some of the reasons why buying a used boat from The Marine Shop makes sense;

All our used boats pass a thorough inspection from a licensed marine technician, focusing on three key areas

• The Engine is inspected and put through its paces to ensure only the best quality used engines are sold by The Marine Shop. This includes an engine pressure test, thorough inspection of gearbox, spark plugs, water pump, and a running test to ensure the engine runs properly. A pass mark is only achieved if the engine meets all the factory specifications.
• The Trailer is thoroughly inspected from top to bottom. Tyres, brakes, and couplings are all inspected to ensure they meet our strict guidelines. The trailer is also checked for signs of rust, and wheel bearings are checked to ensure that the trailer can head straight from our store to the water.
• The Boat is checked top to bottom for any safety issues. Obviously when buying a second hand boat there are minor dents/scratches that are part of everyday use, but what we’re looking for are signs that the structural integrity of the boat has not been compromised. This includes a transom inspection, floor inspection, and hull inspection.

Most of our used boats come with a limited three month warranty*, meaning that you can buy with confidence knowing that when you take your new boat on the water, it’s going to work. Now that’s something you won’t get with a private purchase.
